J. Merridew is the author of "The Leader of the Pack" which was a finalist for the American Book Award. In 2009, "The Leader of the Pack" was included in The Best Books for Teens list by NY Times, and she is the author of five other books for young adults including "The Suburban Melody" and "An Emerald City Miracle." She is a former teacher and school counselor. Her articles have been published in several magazines and newspapers including Working Mother, Chicago Tribune, and The Christian Science Monitor
She writes novels as well as nonfiction books for teens and adults.
